Maytag dryer won't heat
The drum spins, but the clothes come out just as wet. Nine times out of ten, this is a blown thermal fuse — a small safety component that trips when the dryer gets too hot, usually because the vent hasn't been cleaned in a while. Maytag washer won't drain
Water sitting in the drum at the end of a cycle means something is blocking the drain. We start with the drain pump filter — it's the fastest and cheapest thing to check, and it's the cause more often than you'd expect. If the filter is clear, the pump motor itself has usually worn out.
Maytag washer won't spin
The washer fills and runs, but nothing gets wrung out. On top-load models this is usually a worn drive belt. On front-load models it often comes back to a drain issue — the machine won't spin a drum it thinks still has water in it.
